The project Lebenswelt Campus. An Ethnographic Research Seminar, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service within the programme International Virtual Academic Collaboration (IVAC) 2021/22 aims at an international collaboration between the TU Dortmund and the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad/Pakistan. This collaboration is organised in the form of a two-semester research workshop: The experiences, forms of knowledge, patterns of interpretation and action that are constitutive for orientation within the everyday world of students on their own campus are empirically illuminated and reconstructed through life-world analysis. Using ethnographic research methods, the participating students from the partner universities take on the role of qualitative researchers. They are involved in exchange processes and participate in digitally organised buddy programmes, virtual excursions, online workshops and joint learning platforms. With the aim of promoting scientific and transnational cooperation between the two project teams, local stays of the participating researchers in the respective partner country are also planned. The project results will be published after completion of the project.
