Guest visit and lecture by Tania Sen

As part of the program "Research Explorer Ruhr" we welcomed Tania Sen, Ph.D., from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Guwahati/India as a guest at the chair.

The program "Research Explorer Ruhr" is an initiative of the Research Academy Ruhr, the joint platform for the promotion of young researchers of the University Alliance (UA) Ruhr. Every year, the UA Ruhr welcomes international postdocs and PhD students for two weeks to plan projects with local institutions and to learn about funding opportunities for a longer stay.

In addition to several joint sessions where we exchanged ideas on research projects, Tania Sen also gave us insights into her previous research via a lecture entitled "Prohibition on tattooing, culture change, and the Apatanis in Arunachal Pradesh."
